zek

A prototype code generator that creates a Go struct from a sample XML document, intended to make reading XML in Go quicker to set up than writing structs by hand.

zek

zek is a prototype tool that generates a Go struct definition from an example XML document, aimed mainly at reading XML rather than producing it. Given sample XML, it infers a single struct that can access elements, attributes, and text content, and it can infer a schema across multiple example files without needing an XSD or DTD.

It works well for non-recursive XML structures and produces a compact, single-struct representation with generated comments and examples, but the author describes it as an early, experimental prototype: it does not support recursive types, and without a schema it treats all fields as strings.

It is installed as a Go command-line tool and is also available as Debian and RPM packages and in the AUR, and it can be tried online through a WebAssembly build.
