# Zentty

A native macOS terminal for agent-driven development, built on Ghostty, with an agent-aware sidebar that shows which of many supported coding agents is working, waiting or needs approval.

Zentty is a native macOS terminal built on Ghostty for agent-driven development. Panes are organized into horizontally scrolling worklanes rather than tabs, every action is a bindable command with a fuzzy command palette, and worklanes, the sidebar and running agent sessions are restored on relaunch, including resuming an agent that was mid-task when the app closed.

An agent-aware sidebar reports each session's status, working, waiting, asking for approval or compacting, with a badge for how many subagents are running and a macOS menu bar indicator so a user knows who needs them even when the app is hidden. It supports a long list of coding agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI and several others, plus any other tool through an open Agent Status Protocol.

It also surfaces running dev servers and pull request checks in the sidebar, detects and runs task-runner scripts from files such as package.json, Makefiles and justfiles, supports global search across worklanes, and can paste a dropped file into a remote SSH pane by uploading it over the existing connection.
