ACP Patchbay

A unified VS Code client for any Agent Client Protocol coding agent, giving Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, OpenCode and others one consistent chat interface and permission model.

ACP Patchbay

ACP Patchbay tracks what each connected agent's handshake claims to support against what it has actually verified working on the wire, marking a feature as available only once that path has genuinely fired rather than merely been promised.

It applies a single permission broker across every agent, so file writes, terminal use and tool calls are reviewed the same way regardless of which agent is driving, and gives agents editor-aware context, including the current file, selection, diagnostics and workspace layout, through a built-in local MCP server that can also ask the user for input mid-turn.

It runs many sessions in parallel across one or several agents, each with its own history, with live status indicators and detached panels, and installs from the VS Code Marketplace or Open VSX for Cursor, Windsurf and VSCodium.
