Activepieces
An open-source, self-hostable workflow automation platform, positioned as an alternative to Zapier, whose integrations double as MCP servers usable from Claude Desktop, Cursor or Windsurf.
Activepieces is an open-source workflow automation platform, positioned as an alternative to Zapier. Automations are built from a type-safe pieces framework written in TypeScript, and each contributed piece automatically becomes available as an MCP server that an LLM client such as Claude Desktop, Cursor or Windsurf can use directly.
Its visual builder supports loops, branches, automatic retries, HTTP requests, custom code with npm packages, versioned flows, translated languages and customizable templates, and integrates with services such as Google Sheets, OpenAI and Discord among more than 200 others. Native AI pieces let a user experiment with different model providers or build agents with the project's own AI SDK inside the builder, and built-in human-input pieces support delayed execution, approval steps, a chat interface and a form interface.
It can be fully self-hosted and network-gapped for organizations that need to keep automation and data on their own infrastructure. It is written in TypeScript.
