Aethos Memory
A persistent, cross-tool memory layer for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode and Windsurf, reached through the Model Context Protocol and backed by a shared Supabase pgvector database.
Aethos Memory is an open-source memory layer that connects several AI coding assistants, including Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Windsurf and Antigravity IDE, to one centralized memory bank through the Model Context Protocol, so decisions and context made in one tool are available in another instead of being lost between sessions.
It runs as a FastMCP Python server over stdio or SSE and HTTP, storing data in a Supabase or self-hosted PostgreSQL database with the pgvector extension. Queries are converted into embeddings, matched against stored entries by cosine similarity through an HNSW index, and combined with a small local SQLite cache for instant recall of the most recent turns; a lightweight knowledge graph maps relationships between the stored technical facts.
