agent-dispatch

An MCP server and CLI that lets Claude Code agents delegate tasks to agents running in other project directories, each inheriting that project's own MCP servers, CLAUDE.md and tools.

agent-dispatch

agent-dispatch is an MCP server and command-line tool that lets a Claude Code agent hand off a task to another agent running as its own claude -p session in a different project directory. The delegated agent inherits that project's MCP servers, CLAUDE.md file and tools, and only its result is returned to the calling agent.

Related projects can be grouped together with a shared brief and member list, so one session can coordinate work across several repositories alongside supporting infrastructure such as a Portainer gateway or an analytics gateway. It supports OAuth, API key and Claude subscription authentication, and exposes tools for listing registered agents and dispatching work to them, with configurable per-agent tool permissions ranging from a limited allowlist to full bypass mode.

It is written in Python and MIT licensed.
