AgentBox

A CLI that launches an AI coding agent inside a dedicated sandboxed VM, local or in the cloud, bringing along existing skills, plugins and settings for Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode, with a browser, screen sharing and a warmed-up IDE.

AgentBox

agentbox claude moves a project into a dedicated VM, local or in the cloud, and launches it with Claude Code already installed. Each box provides a full computer: a dedicated browser, screen sharing, persistent shells and a warmed-up VS Code or Cursor IDE, and checkpoints so state can be captured.

It supports local Docker, remote Docker over SSH, and cloud providers including Hetzner, Daytona, Vercel Sandbox and E2B, each with its own base-image mechanism and level of support for live snapshots and private preview URLs. portless gives web apps inside a box the same URL from inside the box and from the host.

Interactive setup wizards configure each cloud provider's login or API token, saved to ~/.agentbox/secrets.env. It integrates with iTerm2, cmux, tmux and Herdr, and the first agentbox create or agentbox claude builds a roughly 1 GB base image once.
