AgentDesk

An open-source AI customer support system that answers from a knowledge base first, hands off to a human when needed, and tracks the conversation through to a support ticket.

AgentDesk

AgentDesk is a self-hosted AI Agent customer support platform combining knowledge-based answers, human handoff, ticket workflows and an agent workspace. Customers start a conversation from a web chat page, and the AI agent answers first using retrieval-augmented generation gated by an Answerability check that decides whether the retrieved knowledge is strong enough to answer, reducing unsupported responses; when a customer asks for a human, the system starts a handoff confirmation flow.

The support workspace gives agents conversation lists, message handling, tags, linked customers and ticket context, and model configuration supports OpenAI-compatible LLM, embedding and rerank providers with configurable context limits and retry behavior. The backend is written in Go and the frontend in Next.js, with SQLite or MySQL and Qdrant for storage, suited to intranet or self-hosted enterprise deployment.
