AI as Workspace

A full-featured, multi-workspace AI chat client with local-first storage, real-time cloud sync, a plugin system and MCP support, now deprecated in favor of a successor project.

AI as Workspace

AI as Workspace is an AI chat client supporting multiple AI providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, xAI and Azure, across Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and web as an installable PWA. Conversations are organized into multiple workspaces that can be grouped into nested folders, each with its own or global assistants, and edits or regenerations of a message are kept as branches rather than overwriting history.

Data is stored locally first and available offline, with optional cloud sync after login and multi-window synchronization across browser tabs. It supports the MCP protocol over Stdio and HTTP for tools, prompts and resources, built-in web search through SearXNG with URL crawling, and Artifacts that turn part of an assistant's response into an editable, version-controlled document with configurable read and write permissions. A plugin system adds a calculator, document parsing and other built-in tools.

The project is deprecated and has been succeeded by a complete rewrite under a new name.
