AI Light

A cross-platform desktop traffic-light widget that shows the live status of Claude Code and Codex sessions grouped by project, turning red when input is needed, yellow while the agent works and green when it finishes.

AI Light

AI Light is a small always-on-top, transparent desktop widget that groups Claude Code and Codex sessions by project and shows each as a red, yellow or green light: red when the session is waiting on the user, a permission request, or an error state, yellow while the agent is working, and green once the task is done, with the light group disappearing automatically once the session ends. On Windows and macOS it runs as a GUI; on Ubuntu and Linux it only forwards Claude Code hook events to a Windows or macOS instance over the local network, since there is no GUI on that platform.

It integrates with Claude Code through installable hooks and with Codex by watching its local session files for new rollout events. A right-click menu opens settings, diagnostics, logs and the project path, and lets a user install or remove the Claude Code hook integration. Configuration is a local JSON file controlling the bind address and port, which can be widened from loopback-only to a LAN address so a separate Linux hook forwarder can reach it.
