AIXCL

A self-hosted platform for running an agentic software development lifecycle against local LLMs, using rootless Podman or Docker containers with HashiCorp Vault and mandatory GPG-signed commits.

AIXCL

AIXCL is a local-first development platform for running an agentic software development lifecycle with locally hosted large language models rather than cloud APIs. It is built around rootless Podman, or Docker as a fallback, HashiCorp Vault for secrets, and mandatory GPG-signed commits, and supports local model runtimes including llama.cpp, Ollama, and vLLM.

Setup runs through an aixcl CLI: a stack init command detects and configures Podman or Docker, sets up a docker=podman alias, creates configuration files from provided examples, initializes container volumes, and prompts for an admin account. Minimum requirements are 4 CPU cores, 8GB of RAM, and 32GB of disk on Linux, and the project documents specific workarounds for GitHub Codespaces and QEMU/SLIRP virtual machine networking.

Contributors are required to sign commits with GPG and use CI tooling such as yamllint.
