Alethe
A local-first desktop workspace for running several coding agents and shells side by side, each in a real terminal with its own persistent session, history and layout, so nothing is lost between panes or restarts.
Alethe is a desktop workspace built for running many coding agents across several projects at once, a job that plain terminal tabs handle poorly once sessions get lost, MCP servers drift out of sync between agents, and it becomes unclear which agent is doing what and where. Every agent runs in a real pseudo-terminal inside a persistent project layout, keeps its own session and history, and stays running when the interface is rearranged.
It manages what agents share: their command-line tools, MCP servers and skills, and the conversations moved between them. Supported agents include Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot CLI, Cursor, Antigravity, OpenCode, Kiro CLI, Mimo and Freebuff, alongside a plain shell or WSL pane, with missing command-line tools installable, updatable and removable from inside the app by probing the machine for the right package manager.
It is cross-platform for Windows, macOS and Linux, built with Tauri, Rust, React and xterm.js, and is free and open source, though update checks and provider usage polling are on by default.
