ANUS CLI

A Grok-powered terminal AI agent that reads and edits its own codebase, with a Model Context Protocol integration for custom tools and sandboxed file and shell access.

ANUS CLI

ANUS, short for Autonomous Networked Utility System, is a Grok-powered AI agent for the terminal. Its initial framework was generated by another AI agent, and the project describes its goal as guiding an agent toward eventually contributing to its own development rather than staying a static tool.

It is natively optimized for the xai grok-code-fast-1 model, and uses the Model Context Protocol to let it integrate custom tools. Built-in support covers file system operations and sandboxed shell command execution, and a local project file holds project-specific goals and instructions the agent reads across sessions.
