AQBot

A local-first, cross-platform desktop AI workbench unifying multi-provider chat, ACP coding agents, a knowledge base, MCP tools and an API gateway, keeping application data and files under the user's own control.

AQBot

AQBot is a local-first desktop AI workbench that connects to OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint with custom base URLs, headers and proxy rules, alongside model management with synced remote model lists, latency testing and per-model capability tags. Conversation features include streaming replies, visible reasoning blocks, multiple message versions, conversation branching and long-conversation compression.

It offers two ways to use agents: an in-chat agent mode that uses a configured provider's own API directly to read and edit files, run commands and analyze code inside a chosen working directory, which is only the process's starting directory and not a filesystem sandbox, with per-ask, auto-accept or full-access permission modes; and a separate ACP Agent workbench that connects to external Agent Client Protocol agents such as Codex, Claude Agent, Gemini CLI, Cline, OpenCode and Grok Build, organized by project with resumable threads.

Further features include local role templates with an online marketplace, multi-source skill management, rendered Markdown, math and Mermaid/D2 diagrams, connected web search providers, and a local SQLite-vector-indexed knowledge base.
