Atomic Server

A self-hostable headless CMS and real-time database built on the open Atomic Data specification, with a local-first collaborative workspace (Atomic Place) for documents, tables, chat and custom apps, plus SDKs for JS, React and Svelte.

Atomic Server

Atomic Server is the self-hostable server behind Atomic Place, a local-first workspace for documents, tables, files, chat and apps that works offline in the browser and syncs when reconnected. It provides storage, full-text search, sharing and sync, real-time collaboration with live cursors and typing indicators, collaborative rich-text documents, strictly schemed tables with Kanban, calendar, dashboard and timer views, and one-click published websites with rollback.

Custom data models are defined in an Ontology Editor and shared as Atomic Schema, each agent's local database is encrypted under its own key, every write is a signed Atomic Commit for full version history, and access uses read/write rights, hierarchies and invite links, exposed through a RESTful API using the JSON-AD format.

The repository includes the AtomicServer itself, a Rust library and CLI, and client libraries for JavaScript, React and Svelte, plus a Dart/Flutter client. The project is in alpha, with breaking changes expected before 1.0.
