Awesome Remote MCP Servers

A curated list of remote Model Context Protocol servers reachable over a URL, as opposed to servers a user installs and runs locally.

Awesome Remote MCP Servers

Awesome Remote MCP Servers catalogs MCP servers that someone else operates and that a client connects to over Streamable HTTP or legacy SSE, authenticating with OAuth or an API key, rather than servers distributed as an npm package, PyPI package, Docker image or binary that a user runs themselves. Entries are only listed once the endpoint answers an MCP initialize handshake.

It explains how to add a remote server to Claude Code, to any client that reads the mcp.json format such as Cursor or VS Code, or to Claude.ai and ChatGPT through their connector settings, and organizes servers into categories such as browser automation, databases, communication, developer tools and file storage, each tagged with its authentication method.
