AWS Generative AI CDK Constructs

An open-source extension of the AWS Cloud Development Kit that provides sample, well-architected constructs for common generative AI patterns, such as retrieval-augmented generation, summarization and question answering on AWS.

AWS Generative AI CDK Constructs

AWS Generative AI CDK Constructs is an open-source library that extends the AWS Cloud Development Kit with high-level, multi-service constructs for generative AI patterns. Each construct is a pattern-based abstraction over lower-level AWS CDK constructs, built around AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch and AWS Step Functions, alongside integrations such as LangChain and Hugging Face, so a team can define a repeatable generative AI architecture in code.

Each release of the library is built against and tied to a specific version of the AWS CDK, recorded in its changelog, and applications must use a compatible CDK version. The library is organized into logical modules by architectural pattern, using object-oriented constructs, and is available for TypeScript with a documented getting-started path.

All classes are under active development and are explicitly not covered by semantic versioning, so upgrading to a newer release of the library can require source changes.

A platform that pairs a Rete rule engine with retrieval-augmented generation, so deterministic rules decide an outcome and grounded retrieval explains the decision in plain language.

A hybrid retrieval engine for retrieval-augmented generation, written in Rust to run on-device on a phone or a laptop, combining lexical BM25 search, dense embedding search, reciprocal-rank fusion and cross-encoder re-ranking with no server.

A .NET library that turns PDF, DOCX, HWP and other documents into optimized chunks for RAG systems, through a five-stage pipeline built on high-performance Rust FFI readers.
