Azure MCP Server Registry

Guidance and resources for using Azure API Center as an enterprise registry for Model Context Protocol servers, letting an organization discover, share and govern internal and public MCP servers in one place.

Azure MCP Server Registry

This repository documents how to use Azure API Center as a customizable enterprise registry for Model Context Protocol servers. It explains how an organization can centralize discovery of both internally built and publicly available MCP servers in one source of truth, encourage developers to reuse existing servers instead of duplicating them, and apply organizational policy through an AI gateway acting as a proxy in front of the registered servers.

It also describes an Azure MCP discovery page inside the Azure portal that features remote MCP servers from partners who have completed an official verification process; every new API Center registry automatically gains access to these partner servers, which can then be exposed to MCP hosts such as VS Code and Copilot Studio.

The repository is MIT licensed.
