BeanBot

A NetBeans IDE plugin that adds an AI pair-programming chat interface inside the editor, connecting through the Agent Client Protocol to coding harnesses such as Claude, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini and Goose.

BeanBot

BeanBot is a NetBeans plugin that provides AI pair-programming inside the editor through the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), offering a structured chat interface for code generation, project analysis and automated task execution without leaving the IDE. It supports several coding harnesses that a user picks during onboarding or later, including Oh My Pi, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Pi, Goose, Cursor, Claude, Hermes, Gemini and Devin.

Token and cost statistics are read from the ACP traffic itself rather than an external process, recorded into an embedded local database so usage figures survive restarts and can be reviewed without a harness running; a toolbar button breaks the figures down by model and by agent.

It is installed from source with Maven, producing an NBM file installed through the NetBeans Plugin Manager, and follows a hexagonal, ports-and-adapters architecture.
