CatchUp

A local-first CLI that hands off session context between AI coding agents, converting a saved session into Markdown so work can resume in the same agent or a different one.

CatchUp

catchup reads a local coding-agent session into clean Markdown, and a fork command resumes the work in the same agent or a different one, for example handing a Claude Code session to Codex or a Cursor session to OpenCode. It is aimed at situations where explaining the whole task again is wasteful: an agent hits its usage limit, a user switches tools mid-task, or an older session needs to be picked up and searched by keyword.

It supports Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Cursor, Cline, Kimi, Antigravity, OpenCode, Pi Agent, ZCode, Grok Build, DeepSeek Harness and Amp. A fork can continue with the same agent and its native session state, start a different agent with the transcript, or restart the same agent clean on a trimmed transcript.

It installs through Homebrew, a prebuilt binary install script, or the Go toolchain, and can add a statusline display and an optional turn-end reminder for advance notice before a quota-driven handoff.
