Celebrimbot

An IntelliJ Platform plugin that embeds a multi-agent AI coding assistant directly into a JetBrains IDE, reading and editing project files, running terminal commands, searching the web and inspecting git history from one chat panel.

Celebrimbot

Celebrimbot brings a six-layer, Tolkien-themed multi-agent system into a JetBrains IDE. A router agent classifies each request as chat, an easy task or a complex task and hands it to the matching pipeline: a conversational agent for chat, a planner and worker agents for single-file changes, or a pre-planner and master planner that produce atomic tasks for a complex multi-file change.

Specialized worker agents handle mechanical operations such as delete, terminal and git actions, general code writing, and complex algorithms or large refactors, followed by a reviewer agent that checks completed work against the original request and can trigger up to two re-planning cycles. A final agent writes a concise session summary.

Most agents run on a local Qwen model by default, with cloud fallback for the planning and review roles that benefit from stronger reasoning. It is written in Kotlin and licensed under MIT.
