Chat On Steroids

An independent, open-source local workspace that lets ChatGPT read and edit files, run tests, keep terminals open and delegate split tasks to multiple workers, while staying within the provider's usage rules.

Chat On Steroids

Chat On Steroids (CoS) is an independent, open-source workspace for using a ChatGPT conversation to work on real projects: reading and editing files, running tests, keeping terminals open and using the desktop, with tool results streamed back as they arrive. It can split independent jobs across multiple workers that keep their own context, then bring results back together, and supports sending corrections while work is running and compacting a session's history into a fresh chat.

It connects local tools through the Model Context Protocol and, through a companion component, observes and automates the ChatGPT browser interface and records conversation content locally. It uses a user's ChatGPT conversation rather than invoking Codex directly, so usage counts against the user's existing ChatGPT plan limits.

The project states it is intended for productive work within OpenAI's usage policies, not to bypass usage limits, account restrictions or safety controls.
