Chat2DB

A free, cross-platform database client and SQL workspace that connects to 40 or more databases and lets a user bring their own AI model to generate, explain, and optimize queries.

Chat2DB

Chat2DB Community is a database client for Windows, macOS, and Linux that runs entirely on the user's machine. It combines a SQL workspace, with editing, completion, formatting, execution, and saved SQL history, with an AI assistant connected to a model the user supplies.

It connects to more than 40 databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redis, and SQLite, with more added through plugins, and supports metadata browsing, table and object management, in-place data editing, data import and export, dashboards and charts, and an open-source CLI with MCP support so AI clients can use it as a tool. It is distributed as a desktop app, a Docker image, or a CLI.

It is written in Java.
