Chroma Go

A Go client library for the Chroma vector database, tracking specific Chroma server versions across its release lines.

Chroma Go

Chroma Go is a client library that lets a Go application talk to a Chroma vector database, whether run locally, self-hosted over HTTP, or accessed through Chroma Cloud with an API key. Its current release lines are compatible with Chroma 1.x servers and are tested through specific Chroma point releases; older Chroma versions need an older Chroma Go release.

It can start Chroma in-process with a persistent client, auto-downloading and caching the matching native shim library on first use, or connect to a Chroma server started separately, such as through Docker. Example programs cover basic CRUD, the persistent client, authentication, and multi-tenant and multi-database scoping.

It is written in Go and released under the MIT license.
