Cindy

An open-source AI agent client for desktop and mobile that runs locally on a user's own files and lets multiple harnesses and models work on the same task together.

Cindy

Cindy is an open-source client for an AI agent that runs locally, using the user's own files and logged-in applications rather than a remote sandbox. It brings multiple existing coding harnesses, starting with Claude Code and Codex, together with a choice of models, into a single agent, and lets harnesses and models switch mid-task while memory, skills, and tools stay continuous, so one task can be planned by one combination, executed in parallel, and reviewed by another.

The client itself, covering the desktop and mobile apps and their shared packages, is free and open source; using it can draw on an existing coding-plan subscription, a connected API key, or a local model, or on the official Cindy service's own paid usage. It can drive a browser, the local computer, and a phone, and take work assigned through messaging apps or schedules.

It is a pnpm monorepo written in TypeScript, released under the Apache License 2.0.
