Claude Code Extension for Visual Studio
A Visual Studio extension that adds a native chat interface and embedded terminal for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor Agent and other AI coding agents, with image and file attachments and an integrated diff viewer.
This Visual Studio extension gives Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor Agent, Open Code, Devin, PI, Google Antigravity and Reasonix a home inside a Visual Studio tool window, either as an embedded terminal or, in its native mode, as a chat document tab where answers arrive as formatted text, file edits open into a colored diff, and each turn shows how long it took and what it cost.
It supports multi-line prompts, pasting or drag-and-dropping images and files into a prompt, sending a selected code block with its file path and line numbers, an integrated diff viewer for uncommitted Git changes, prompt history of the last 50 prompts, and session history for browsing, renaming, deleting or resuming past Claude Code and Codex sessions. It auto-detects the solution directory and restarts when the active solution changes.
It is written in C# and released under the MIT license.
