Claudemacs

An Emacs package for AI pair programming that runs Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or other terminal AI coding tools inside Emacs sessions, deliberately without its own MCP or IDE layer.

Claudemacs

Claudemacs runs terminal-based AI coding tools directly inside Emacs, favoring simplicity: it deliberately avoids adding its own agents, MCP integration, or IDE layer on top, on the view that those add context overhead the underlying CLI tool does not need. A configurable tool registry supports Claude, Codex, Gemini, and other command-line AI tools, and the same CLI can be registered multiple times under different profiles with separate configuration, flags, accounts, or scoped environment variables.

It supports running multiple sessions of the same tool per workspace, broadcasting an action to every active session at once, and workspace-aware sessions integrated with Doom and Perspective. Convenience commands can send a file, a line or region of code, a flycheck error, or the text of a comment straight to the assistant with surrounding context, and a menu exposes the rest of its commands. It uses Ghostel as its terminal backend when available, falling back to Eat.

  • rig

    tryrig.ai

A small, single-binary agent runtime that points at any OpenAI-compatible model, local or hosted, reads and edits a repository's code, runs its tests and remembers what it learned, with a loop implemented in a few hundred lines.

  • Jauvex

    jauvex.reindent.com

An Electron desktop app that puts Claude Code, Codex and Grok coding-agent sessions side by side and lets you steer them by voice, with a small model handling fast routing decisions.
