Claurst

Claurst is an open-source, multi-provider terminal coding agent built in Rust. It began as a clean-room reimplementation of Claude Code's behavior from its specification and has grown into a terminal UI pair programmer with multi-provider support, a plugin system, chat forking and memory consolidation.

A companion feature, Rustle, and a goal command let Claurst keep working toward an objective across multiple turns instead of stopping after one. Chat sessions can be shared with others through unlisted GitHub Gists, and a top reasoning effort level runs a turn through a plan, delegate, integrate and verify workflow that fans work out across subagents, swarms and background tasks.

It installs through a one-line shell script on Linux, macOS and Windows, or through npm or Bun, and collects no tracking or telemetry data. It is released under the GPL-3.0 license.
