Clawd on Desk

A pixel-art desktop pet that reacts in real time to what an AI coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex is doing in the background.

Clawd on Desk

Clawd on Desk shows different animations for what a connected coding agent is currently doing: thinking while a prompt is being written, typing while a tool runs, celebrating on task completion, reviewing during a permission prompt, and sleeping when the user steps away, so a long-running task can be tracked from a glance at the desktop instead of the terminal. It ships three built-in themes, including a pixel crab and a cat, with support for custom themes and imported animation packs from a similar project.

It integrates with a long list of coding agent CLIs through command hooks or an HTTP permission-hook bridge, including Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor Agent, Kiro CLI, DeepSeek Harness, and several others, most through an optional hook installed from its settings.

It runs on Windows 11, macOS, and Ubuntu/Linux, is written in JavaScript on Electron, and is distributed under the AGPL-3.0 license.
