Clide

A cross-platform Tauri desktop app that gives coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Cursor Agent live access to real SSH terminal sessions over MCP, while keeping passwords, private keys and sudo prompts entirely out of the AI's path.

Clide

Clide is a desktop AI SSH terminal built for SRE, DevOps and backend engineers who want an AI agent to help operate remote servers without changing their existing SSH trust model. Local AI agents connect over MCP to drive real SSH PTY sessions - multi-tab, multi-hop through jump hosts - alongside SFTP file editing and server resource monitoring, but credentials never enter the AI's path: passwords, private keys and sudo prompts stay local to the terminal emulator and are not exposed to the connected agent.

The project frames its purpose against the specific risk of an AI agent reading plaintext SSH credentials, sudo passwords or requiring an extra server-side agent key just to operate infrastructure; Clide instead runs no server-side agent, and the AI drives PTY sessions the user has already opened rather than establishing its own remote access. Supported coding-agent backends include Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Cursor Agent, connected through MCP.

It is built with Tauri and available for Windows, macOS and Linux.
