cloakbrowser-mcp
A drop-in, Playwright-compatible Model Context Protocol browser-automation server that runs the unchanged upstream Playwright MCP tool surface against CloakBrowser's Chromium build, packaged for npm, Docker and Streamable HTTP.
cloakbrowser-mcp runs the official @playwright/mcp server as its tool surface unchanged, pointed at CloakBrowser Chromium instead of stock Chromium, and adds two local introspection tools plus npm, Docker and Streamable HTTP packaging on top. It supports opt-in, session-scoped managed Chrome DevTools Protocol access for CDP-capable clients, persistent browser profiles, validated context options, Chrome extension loading, region-aware proxy matching for regional quality-assurance checks, and humanized mouse, keyboard and scroll behavior for interaction-sensitive automation flows.
It can be started with a single npx command, connected to a client such as Claude Desktop or Codex CLI, and used for web research, scheduled automation or testing tasks described in plain language; a doctor subcommand runs diagnostics before wiring up a client. Cross-platform checks cover npm on Linux, macOS and Windows across two Node.js release lines, and Docker images are built and tested for both major Linux CPU architectures.
It is written in TypeScript and released under the MIT license.
