CLODEx

A local-first, zero-trust agentic IDE that keeps code, git, a terminal, a browser, models and MCP tools inside one durable desktop workspace, with approval and review surfaces for sensitive actions.

CLODEx

CLODEx is a desktop IDE built around a single durable task rather than a disposable chat: it keeps task history so work can be recovered after a restart, and keeps files, git, a terminal, a browser and MCP tools inside one workspace so a user can move between them without leaving the task. Pending edits, diffs, command output and review stay attached to the task rather than ending when a patch is generated.

Models can be used through a CLODEx account, a user's own provider key, a compatible endpoint, or a local Ollama instance. The current build, called Community Observed 21, is distributed as an unsigned, non-notarized technical preview for macOS, Windows and Linux, built from a pinned source commit, with a manual, user-triggered update check rather than automatic updates.
