Cocos Creator MCP Server

An MCP server plugin for the Cocos Creator game engine that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or Cursor control the editor directly, covering scene, node, component, prefab, asset and animation operations.

Cocos Creator MCP Server

This is a Model Context Protocol server plugin for Cocos Creator 3.8 and later that lets an AI assistant interact with the editor through a standardized protocol instead of clicking through menus. A free, open-source version offers a base set of tools over plain HTTP, while a separately maintained Pro version adds 16 intent-level tools covering 231 operations across scene management, node and component editing, prefabs, assets, editor and scene-view control, UI template building, animation and Spine skeletal animation, and a built-in knowledge base of component properties and layout rules.

It resolves node references by UUID, path or name automatically, detects when a UI transform component should be added, and uses a snapshot mechanism so composite operations can roll back automatically if a step fails. The Pro version communicates over Streamable HTTP and supports one-click configuration for AI clients such as Cursor, Claude and Windsurf. It is written in TypeScript.
