Code Puppy

An AI-powered code generation agent that runs from the terminal, generating code and explaining its reasoning, with support for running many parallel agent sessions at once.

Code Puppy

Code Puppy is a terminal-based AI code generation agent, comparable to tools such as Windsurf and Cursor, that understands a programming task, generates code and explains its reasoning. It supports running many agent sessions in parallel, each working independently.

It installs and runs through uvx code-puppy, with UV as the recommended installer on macOS, Linux and Windows, and also runs on Android under Termux using its native build toolchain since many Python dependencies do not publish Android wheels there. A source checkout can be installed as an editable package for development, and an optional DBOS-based durable-execution mode is also available.
