code-stick

A tool that installs an offline AI coding agent onto a USB drive, so plugging it into a Windows, macOS or Linux laptop gives a terminal coding agent backed by a local model with no install on the host.

code-stick

code-stick installs opencode, a terminal coding agent, together with Ollama as a local model runner, onto a USB drive, pre-built for six targets across Windows, macOS and Linux on both x64 and ARM64. Plugging the stick into any supported laptop and running its launcher starts the agent talking to a model served from the stick itself on a local port, with nothing installed on or left behind on the host machine.

It is meant for airgapped or restricted machines, borrowed or shared laptops, places with unreliable internet, or work on privacy-sensitive code where a cloud agent cannot be used. It installs with a single command that detects the USB drive and lets the user pick a model interactively, with a curated list of Qwen2.5-Coder sizes recommended depending on the stick's capacity and the host's RAM.
