CodexClaw

CodexClaw is a Telegram bot that gives remote access to OpenAI Codex through a Node.js runtime, routing coding tasks, explicit tool calls and scheduled jobs to the right backend while keeping access restricted to a whitelist of users.

CodexClaw

The bot supports two Codex backends, the Codex SDK and a legacy CLI or pseudo-terminal path, and routes an incoming request to one of three surfaces: coding tasks go to Codex SDK threads or CLI sessions, explicit tool requests go to subagents such as an MCP command or a GitHub skill, and proactive automation such as daily summaries runs on a cron scheduler. Codex sessions stay scoped to a specific chat and repository, and MCP responsibilities are kept separate between the Codex side and the bot side to avoid duplicate calls.

Access is restricted to a configured whitelist of Telegram user IDs, and the project describes itself as inspired by an existing Claude Code Telegram bot but built independently around Codex.

It is written in TypeScript and released under the MIT license.
