Collaborator

Collaborator is a native desktop application for working alongside AI coding agents. Terminals, context files, and running code sit together on an infinite pan-and-zoom canvas, organized into workspaces, so a developer can switch between agents and files without hunting through tabs.

A resizable navigator sidebar shows a file tree and workspace switcher, while the main canvas hosts terminal tiles and a viewer for the file currently selected in the navigator; dragging a file from the navigator opens it as a tile next to a running agent. The application targets macOS, Windows, and Linux, with WSL2 and PowerShell terminal support on Windows, stores its data locally as JSON files, and collects only anonymous, non-identifying usage analytics.

It is built with Electron, React, Tailwind CSS, and xterm.js, among other libraries, and is early-stage, actively developed software.
