Comply54
An open-source governance layer that intercepts AI agent tool calls and checks them against African financial and data-protection regulations before they execute, with adapters for LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI and AutoGen.
Comply54 evaluates AI agent tool calls against African regulatory frameworks - including Nigeria's CBN and NDPA, Kenya's KDPA and South Africa's POPIA, among others - before the call is allowed to execute; a blocked call never reaches the underlying tool, and the agent receives a structured error it can explain to the user instead. It runs without an Open Policy Agent binary or subprocess, so it works in serverless environments.
A companion repository, agt-policies-nigeria, holds the actual policy files, cited by Microsoft's Agent-OS; comply54 is the enforcement engine, sector-specific policy compositions, framework adapters and CI tooling that make those policies usable from LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or a custom OPA pipeline. The project accompanies a published research paper describing what the authors call an enforcement gap between Africa's AI regulations and the runtime infrastructure needed to honor them.
It installs through pip with optional extras per supported agent framework.
