Concord MCP

An open-source MCP server that lets AI coding agents in different harnesses, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI, message each other, detect file-edit overlaps, and hand off tasks.

Concord MCP

Concord MCP is an open-source, local-first communication and coordination layer for AI coding agents. Through one MCP server, agents running in different harnesses can discover each other, exchange live messages, detect when they are about to edit the same file, share decisions, and hand off tasks with supporting evidence.

A setup command creates a local workspace folder, registers the MCP server with supported clients, including Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Grok Build and Codex, and writes Concord's tool instructions into each client's own configuration files, merging into existing configuration rather than replacing it.

It installs as an npm package and is meant to run once per repository, coordinating any other MCP-capable coding agent alongside its officially supported ones.
