Conduit

A native iOS and Android app for chatting with a self-hosted Open WebUI server, direct OpenAI-compatible and Ollama endpoints, or on-device Apple Intelligence models, built to fix the mobile gaps in Open WebUI's own web client.

Conduit

Conduit is a native Flutter mobile client built to close specific gaps that appear when using Open WebUI from a phone: authentication behind a reverse proxy, streaming that drops when the app is backgrounded, getting a screenshot into a prompt, and starting a chat from the home screen. As of version 4.0 it also works without any Open WebUI server at all.

On first launch it offers several ways to connect: a self-hosted Open WebUI server with the full feature set of chats, folders, notes, tools and image generation; direct OpenAI-compatible, Ollama or OpenRouter endpoints without an Open WebUI account; Apple's on-device or Private Cloud Compute models on eligible iOS versions, which need no API key; or a self-hosted Hermes agent that can run tools and ask before sensitive steps. Chats are stored on the device first, and nothing routes through a backend the maintainer operates.

It is written in Dart with Flutter and released under the GPL-3.0 license.
