Continuum
An MCP server that gives multiple coding-agent clients on one machine shared vector memory, an orchestration protocol, and an agent registry so they do not duplicate work.
Continuum is a single local MCP server that lets any MCP-speaking coding agent, such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cline, become an orchestrator by reading a shared project plan: it researches the codebase, verifies the plan, records a dispatch, and hands back a ready-to-use prompt for a fresh agent to run in its own isolated git worktree. Every lesson an agent learns becomes a vector embedding stored in SQLite through the sqlite-vec extension, so semantic recall works across sessions and across different chat clients on the same project.
A state machine with reserved-path tracking stops parallel agents from clobbering each other's work across worktrees, and a two-tier knowledge system separates fundamental lessons, which are binding rules loaded on every dispatch, from situational lessons that surface through semantic search only when relevant. A web panel built with Astro and React lets a person browse projects, agents, the plan, and stored knowledge while AI clients drive the system through MCP.
It runs as one local SQLite file in write-ahead-log mode, needs no cloud service or account, and is written in TypeScript for NestJS.
