Continuum

A local, on-device MCP server for macOS that captures everything you have seen, read, typed and heard across your desktop through on-screen OCR, so any connected agent can recall your recent activity.

Continuum

Continuum captures a person's desktop activity, on-device, so an agent connected over MCP can answer questions such as what a user was just doing in a particular application, instead of the user having to re-explain context across a dozen apps every day. It performs on-device OCR of the focused window, deduplicated to actual content rather than noise, and every recalled moment comes back with its source application, owner and a specific date so an agent does not present a stale fact as current.

A background consolidation pass turns the raw capture stream into small, cited memory files covering who the user is, their projects, people, taste and decisions, and standing preferences such as running tests before opening a pull request are picked up and applied automatically across agents. Data lives locally under the user's home directory, and agents can only read it, not write to it. It installs as an npm global package and requires macOS Screen Recording permission and Node 18 or newer.
