Copilot for Obsidian

An Obsidian plugin that runs coding agents such as opencode, Claude Code and Codex inside a user's vault for research, writing and knowledge work.

Copilot for Obsidian

Copilot for Obsidian brings opencode, Claude Code and Codex into Obsidian for research, writing and knowledge work. Its main "Agent" experience handles multi-step work: it can inspect notes, use tools, create files in the vault, and continue across several turns under permissions the user controls.

A user can let Copilot download and manage opencode with Copilot-hosted models, a personal provider key, or a local model; connect an existing Claude Code installation, using auto-detection of common install locations and the user's existing login; or connect Codex through an adapter using an existing Codex login. "Projects" give ongoing work its own instructions, reusable context and chat history across any of the three agents, and skills, including built-in ones for Obsidian Markdown, Bases, Canvas and the Obsidian CLI, can be shared across agents once added.

Saved, repeatable prompts can be run as Commands from the editor or command palette, several Agent tabs can stay open for different tasks, and a lighter "Quick Chat" and "Quick Ask" mode handles short questions that do not need a full agent.
