Crest

A Mac app for developers that surfaces a waiting Claude Code or Codex approval prompt on the MacBook notch, so an agent run stops idling while you are in another window.

Crest

Crest is a Mac notch app aimed at developers running Claude Code or Codex. When either tool pauses to ask for a permission, such as approving a Bash command, an edit outside allowed paths, or a multiple-choice question, Crest shows that prompt on the notch immediately, visible over any app or fullscreen window, backed by a sound, a macOS notification, and a menu-bar icon.

A tap answers Allow or Deny, or selects one of several offered options, and the reply is sent straight back to the waiting terminal session, so a run that would otherwise sit idle until someone remembers to check it can continue right away.

Crest is free to download with a basic tier that needs no account, and a one-time Pro purchase, or a seven-day free trial, unlocks the AI-coding notification module along with other always-included features like clipboard history and window snapping.
