Cursor History MCP

Cursor History MCP is an MCP server that lets an AI assistant search, inspect and export a user's existing Cursor chat history, turning months of past decisions, bug fixes and architecture discussions into context the assistant can query.

Cursor History MCP

The server connects Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients to a local history reader, letting a client search conversation text across workspaces, inspect a specific session or return an export, all through natural-language requests rather than a separate search UI. It requires no embeddings, indexing service or API key of its own; whatever the client sends the history to for further processing is the client's own concern, not this server's.

A feature specific to the MCP package, called Year in Review, turns existing conversations into annual activity statistics and a prompt an assistant can use to write a report, while the underlying CLI and Node.js API remain usable directly for plain history access.

It requires Node.js and a client that supports local stdio MCP servers, is written in TypeScript, and is released under the MIT license.
