D365 F&O MCP Server
A set of 20 MCP tools that index a whole Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations codebase of X++ classes, tables, forms and labels, so Copilot or Claude Code can check a method signature or form pattern against real metadata before generating code.
This project pre-indexes a Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations installation, including standard, ISV and custom models with more than 580,000 symbols, and exposes it as 20 specialised MCP tools. AI assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code can then look up an exact X++ method signature, an existing customization-over-configuration wrapper, a label, or a form pattern before writing code, instead of guessing and producing code that fails to compile.
A form-generation workflow checks a proposed object against mined pattern statistics from the target environment and validates it against a numbered set of structural rules; violations such as the wrong element order, a missing container, or a disallowed control block the write, while looser recommendations only warn.
It installs on a D365FO virtual machine with a single PowerShell command that installs Node.js if needed, installs the server from npm, and runs a setup wizard that builds a companion C# bridge and asks where the index should live.
