DataForSEO MCP Server

An MCP server and CLI that lets an LLM agent browse DataForSEO's API documentation and make authenticated calls against DataForSEO's SEO data APIs, over stdio by default or over HTTP with OAuth 2.0.

DataForSEO MCP Server

This project is DataForSEO's v3 MCP server, replacing an earlier deprecated v2-plus server. The same tool implementations power both an MCP server, which starts on stdio by default or on HTTP with a configurable port, and an optional CLI mode for direct documentation lookups or API requests from the command line.

HTTP MCP connections default to OAuth 2.0, where MCP clients discover DataForSEO's authorization server automatically and send bearer tokens, with API login and password credentials as a fallback authentication method required for the CLI and stdio modes. It is configured in MCP clients such as Cursor or Claude Desktop either by pointing at DataForSEO's own hosted remote MCP server or by running a local instance with npx.
