DB-GPT

An open-source agentic AI assistant that connects to databases, spreadsheets and knowledge bases, writes SQL and code from natural language questions, and turns the results into charts, dashboards and reports.

DB-GPT

DB-GPT is an open-source agentic AI data assistant. It connects to databases, CSV and Excel files, data warehouses and knowledge bases, then lets a user ask questions in natural language while the AI writes SQL and Python code, runs it, and produces charts, dashboards, HTML reports and analysis summaries.

It plans tasks, breaks work into steps and calls tools to complete an analysis end to end, drawing on structured and unstructured sources together. Domain knowledge and analysis methods can be packaged as reusable skills, and code and tools run in sandboxed environments for safer execution.

Beyond ad hoc analysis, DB-GPT is also a platform for building AI-native data agents, workflows and applications, using its own workflow language, retrieval-augmented generation and support for multiple models. It is written in Python.

    github.com

A self-hosted, Java-based knowledge base for small and mid-sized organizations, turning internal documents into a searchable, question-answerable and audit-exportable knowledge asset with hybrid retrieval and Docker deployment.
