DeepSeek Harness Desktop

A community-maintained, open-source Windows, macOS and Linux desktop client for DeepSeek's DSH agent runtime, adding plugins, skills, task automation, Git integration, remote development and a choice of visual themes.

DeepSeek Harness Desktop

DeepSeek Harness Desktop is a community-built, open-source desktop client for DeepSeek's DSH agent runtime, packaging the publicly released DSH Runtime and web interface into an installable application, since DeepSeek has not yet shipped an official standalone desktop product itself. It is explicitly not an official DeepSeek client, and is designed not to conflict with a future official desktop app's identity, data directory or update source.

Around its core DSH functionality, it adds a plugin and skills system, task automation, Git support, remote development and multiple visual themes, plus optional browser and computer control: a browser mode drives an isolated, visible system browser session through Playwright, and a computer-use mode can observe and, after per-action confirmation, operate the mouse and keyboard, with screenshots and window names excluded from its telemetry. It pins a specific tested DSH release rather than always tracking DeepSeek's newest one, migrating to a new pinned version only after it validates the change.

It supports Windows 10 and 11 as its primary target, with preview builds for Apple Silicon macOS and Linux, and is licensed under BSD-3-Clause.
