DeepSeek Harness Desktop

DeepSeek Harness Desktop hosts the official DeepSeek Harness web experience, an AI agent runtime, as a desktop application, rather than forking or modifying its interface. It starts and stops the local Harness service automatically, picks a random loopback port, waits for the service to be ready before showing the window, and restricts navigation for safety with sandboxing and context isolation.

It adds a settings-based plugin market backed by a curated community plugin catalog, bundles pnpm so plugins can be installed without a separate Node.js toolchain, keeps running in the system tray, and opens external links in the system browser. Installers are provided for macOS, Windows, and Linux, though the macOS build is not notarized and the Windows build is not commercially signed.

It depends on an early, rapidly changing release of the underlying Harness package.
